There are many ways that you can donate to support Friendly House and the kids we serve!
FINANCIAL DONATIONS
When financially donating directly to the Friendly House, every penny goes towards the center and providing for the children and adults in our programs. Please click on the button below to make an online donation through PayPal. If you would like to donate to a specific program at Friendly House like the Afterschool Program, Preschool, Happy Hollow or Hidden Hollow, please make sure to mark that in the “Special Instructions”. YOU CANNOT PAY FEES FOR ANY FRIENDLY HOUSE PROGRAMS THROUGH PAYPAL.
The Friendly House is also a United Way of Richland County Agency and approximately 26% of our annual funding comes from United Way Allocations. During the annual United Way campaign, you can allocate your donation to the Friendly House. This can be done through a personal donation or through payroll deduction from your workplace.
MATERIAL DONATIONS
If you are interested in donating items for the Friendly House programs like school supplies, books, board games, toys, winter coats, hats and gloves, etc. please call Friendly House at 419-522-0521. Non-clothing supplies are preferred to be new, OR in very good condition, immediately transferable to a child in need, with out the need of cleaning or repair. We do not accept furniture, bikes, mattresses, or other bulky items. Food donations must be discussed in advance with management and should have an expiration of at least 6 months in the future. We are appreciative and rely on donations from the community to help strengthen our programs.
As of September 2019, we are no longer accepting any type of clothing donations from the public, but accept new clothing donations from organizations. Please check with local Mansfield charities if you have clothing you need to donate.
TIME DONATIONS
While you may not be able to give to Friendly House financially, there are a number of ways that you can donate your time and experiences. Volunteering at the Friendly House can be a positive experience for all involved. We will never turn down a helping hand. Contact Friendly House to see where you will be the best fit. All unpaid volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application and go through a screening process prior to working in any of our facilities or with the children we serve.
